ILLIG presents Sustainable Circular Thinking solutions at the online exhibition IPF Bangladesh

Heilbronn/Germany, June 2021 – ILLIG will be presenting its recycling-friendly Circular Thinking solutions as well as the appropriate production and packaging systems for reducing the proportion of plastic in thermoformed packaging at the IPF Bangladesh online expo from July 5-8, 2021. The German Heilbronn-based mechanical engineering company ILLIG is thus making an important contribution to shaping a sustainable future.

The customized packaging development “Pactivity® 360” and the tool development Toolsys® make a significant contribution to a high flexibility and strategic focus in responding to customer requirements derived from global market realities. In this way, ILLIG develops the solutions of tomorrow for customers. With Circular Thinking, ILLIG supports the economic cycle idea and clearly defines the sustainability targets: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Renew, and Separate. ILLIG tooling, production, and packaging systems are flexible in terms of materials. They process biodegradable plastics, recycled goods, plastic-cardboard combinations or post-consumer films in a process-safe manner, even up to pure cardboard applications. The latest application developments with the plastic-cardboard combinations of the I-PACK® brand (ILLIG intelligent packaging) underline this. The new packaging systems support the sustainability strategies of ILLIG customers worldwide with the possibilities to produce plastic-cardboard blister combinations or all paper blister.

I-PACK® plastic-cardboard combinations reduce plastic content over 50%

Packaging manufacturers are increasingly demanding sustainable and easily recyclable packaging solutions that meet all requirements for hygiene, product protection, logistics, and convenience. With I-PACK® ILLIG offers easily separable and versatile plastic-cardboard combinations with reduced plastic usage. The sustainable I-PACK® trays, cups, and lids are manufactured with a high level of know-how on established production systems. ILLIG's packaging experts accompany customers throughout the entire Pactivity® development process, from the initial idea to the commissioning of the production line.

ILLIG blister system for plastic and cardboard packaging solution

The ILLIG Hot Seal Unit HSU 35b is a flexible blister packaging system for almost unlimited possibilities at the point of sale. Customers can produce safe, perfectly executed, and sustainable fully recyclable blister packs made of plastic-cardboard combinations or 100% all paper blisters (mono-material blisters) if required also with sealed dust and side flaps. The HSU 35b is suitable for all types of blisters in the non-food and medical technology sectors. The system can be designed with 3, 6, 8, 10 or 12 transport pallets for any application. Compact and with a sealing force of up to 30 kN, the HSU 35b processes all blister types with maximum blister heights of up to 64 mm. The appropriate sealing unit can be retrofitted at any time – individual, flexible and efficient.
